Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Airport pick up from Leh

After arriving at Leh Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Since you have come to a high-altitude area, use this day to relax and acclimatize. Do not strain yourself and spend a relaxing day at Leh.

Day 2: Sham Valley Tour

Wake up to a beautiful morning in the mountains, after a hearty break, get ready for a trip to the Sham Valley located on the Srinagar-Leh Highway. Start with visiting the Spituk Gompa, which also has a museum on the premises housing ancient masks, weapons and Thangkas (Buddhist Paintings). After that, visit Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, followed by Magnetic Hill and the Sangam point (the confluence of Indus and Zanskar River). We will travel towards Alchi and Likir Monastery. Alchi monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the area and Likir Monastery is known for the huge statue of Buddha.

After exploring Sham Valley, return back to Leh. Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardung la Pass

This is one of the most exciting days of the trip, for you are going to visit the cold desert of Nubra Valley. Start early after a hearty breakfast towards Nubra valley. You will cross the mighty Khardungla Pass today. Stop there to take photographs and have tea at the army Canteen. Then proceed towards Hunder. Enroute, you can visit the Diskit monastery. Overnight, stay at Hunder.

Day 4: Hunder [Nubra] – Day visit to Turtuk and return – Stay at Hunder [Nubra]

After breakfast, leave for full day trip to Turtuk, the last village of India. Turtuk is the last outpost in the border of POK. It was under Pakistani control until India re captured the land on 1971. Return back to Hunder for overnight stay.

Day 5: Hunder – Pangong Lake

This will be another thrilling day in Ladakh. After an early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake after crossing the Shyok nalla. Pangong Tso is one of the major attractions of Ladakh and the water in the lake changes colour as the day progresses. Overnight, stay at a beautiful camp near the lake.

Relive the Bollywood moments here in Pangong. But do not jump into the waters of the lake!

Day 6: Pangong – Tso Moriri via Karu- Stay near TsoMoriri

After an early breakfast, bid adieu to Pangong Lake and drive towards Tso Moriri, another very beautiful lake of Ladakh. Located in the Changthang plateau, Tso Moriri is one of the most beautiful lakes in India and is a great sight for photography enthusiasts. Check in to you stay once you reach there and enjoy exploring the place at leisure.

Day 7: TsoMoriri –Leh

Start after breakfast and drive towards Leh. This day will be spent mostly on road. Once you reach Leh, check in to your hotel and spend a relaxing evening. Overnight, stay at Leh.

Day 8: Depart from Leh

After breakfast, proceed for check out. You will be dropped to the airport by noon. The trip to Leh might end this day, but the bagful of wonderful memories is there to stay forever.
